GREAT NEWS for all you non-conformists that managed to not upgrade to Windows 10 while it was free. I know it was difficult with the constant nagging from Microsoft; so congrats! If you decided to either stay on Windows 7 or Windows 8, or if you would rather go back to Windows 7 or 8; you are in luck.
Microsoft will continue to support both Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 for at least 4 more years. Windows 7 and 8 will receive security updates until 2020 and 2023, respectively.
If you upgraded to Windows 10, and your computer is going slower, you may need to do either one of the following, (1.) purchase and install additional RAM (memory), or (2.) downgrade back to Windows 7 or 8. Even if your computer passes the Windows 10 compatibility checker with flying colors, it doesn’t necessarily mean it will work properly, or even as good as it did before. Windows 10 requires a lot more resources than its predecessors, so if your computer was barely proficient at running Windows 7, then it’s definitely not going to be better with Windows 10.
Eventually, you will need to upgrade to Windows 10 or whatever is next. Your best plan of action is to upgrade the RAM. We have 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB RAM chips for laptops and desktop computers in stock, we will even install it for you at no additional cost. We also provide Windows 7, 8, and 10 upgrades or downgrades at an affordable price. Call us or come by if you need more information.
By the way, it now costs $119 to upgrade to Windows 10 (Home Edition) from Microsoft. Come by or call to see if we can get it cheaper for you. Depending on your computer manufacturer, model, and whether you are a student, veteran, etc; you may still be eligible for a free or discounted upgraded. Southern IT Experts can do it for you, or at least point you in the right direction.
